I’ve reserved this category for my more experimental works, trying out new mediums or techniques, along with sketches and paintings from life. Unless an animal is resting, it’s quite a challenge to sketch an animal (other than human) from life. They rarely keep still, shifting constantly. Landscapes are a little easier, although chasing the light can prove frustrating at times.
